  • RUN CRANDIC Cheer Party Zone

    The City of North Liberty invites everyone to an official RUN CRANDIC marathon and half marathon cheer zone on the lawn of the North Liberty Community Center from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 29. Pom-poms, horns and noisemakers and free Dunkin Donuts and Capanna coffee will be provided.

  • Summer Classes through Upper Iowa for Grades 6-12

    Upper Iowa Univeristy is offering Speed Reading, Writing and study skills programs for students in grades 6 through 12 this summer.  All programs meet once each week and space is limited.

  • UICCU Give & Grow For Schools

    Date: April 1 - April 30, 2018

    The Clear Creek Amana Schools Foundation is fortunate to be included in the University of Iowa Community Credit Union's Give & Grow Schools Initiative during the month of April!

    How can you help?

    During April, UICCU members (new or existing) will again have the opportunity to make a donation (minimum $25 up to $500 per household) to the Clear Creek Amana School Foundation through UICCU’s Give&Grow Schools Initiative. Member gifts will be deducted from respective checking or savings accounts and UICCU will match that amount.  UICCU will match member donations up to $15,000 for the Clear Creek Amana School Foundation. 

    Not a UICCU member? 

    UICCU members can make a donation by going to www.uiccugiveandgrow.org April 1-30, 2018. They will be directed to select Johnson County, then Clear Creek Amana Foundation.

  • North Bend Elementary Playground Installation

    Date:  April 26, 27, 28, 2018
    Where: North Bend Elementary

    The NBE PTG is pleased to announce that the fundraising for this phase of playground improvements for handicap-accessible and inclusive equipment is complete, but we have one last step to bring this phase to completion, and that is to install the equipment.   • A Community Conversation: Mental Health Suicide Awareness & Prevention

    Local expert panelists lead an honest, vital conversation for parents and teens. The goal of this Town Hall is to provide a safe environment where students and parents can gain a deeper understanding of the causes, warning signs and coping strategies regarding teen depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation.

  • Show Choir camp 5th-8th grade

    You will learn a song with choreography and perform for parents at 11:45am. We will divide into 2 groups: 5-6 and 7-8.

  • Kites for Kids Festival - North Liberty

    Date:  April 21, 2018
    Where: ICCSD North Central Junior High School, 180 East Forevergreen Road, North Liberty

    Kites for Kids Festival is a fun and free event organized by the Johnson County Community Partnerships for Protecting Children and Prevent Child Abuse Johnson County, with assistance from Johnson County Social Services, Public Health, and the City of North Liberty. North Liberty Mayor Terry Donahue proclaimed April 2018 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in North Liberty. In recognition, we will be handing out free kites and participants will fly them to acknowledge all of the children in Johnson County who have been impacted by child abuse. Free face painting, mobile museum, a text message giveaway, treats, and beverages will also be available.

  • 2018 Ponseti Kids for a Cause Triathlon

    Date: June 2, 2018
    Where:  University Athletic Club, Melrose Avenue, Iowa City

    We are a non-profit organization, our mission is to help free the world of clubfoot deformity by manufacturing and globally distributing a high quality, affordable foot abduction brace for children born with clubfoot. We strive to make sure every child is treated regardless of their social or economic background. 
    This event is open to all children (4-14) and of all abilities. We will make accommodations so that no child is turned away! All money raised with be donated to Clubfoot Solutions.

  • Coloring Contest for National Advanced Driving Simulator

    The National Advanced Driving Simulator is celebrating their 20th Year Anniversary with various activities throughout the year.     The National Advanced Driving Simulator is the nation's largest and first of its kind anywhere in the world. And right here in Iowa! Their main mission is to improve safety by researching the connection between drivers, motor vehicles, and road users. To do this, they work with sponsors from the government, military, and industry to conduct research in their simulators and with their on-road research vehicles.
