Effective January 4, 2017, Clear Creek Amana Schools will have a change in lunch meal prices.
USDA regulations require school food authorities participating in the National School Lunch Program to ensure sufficient funds are provided to the nonprofit school food service account for meals served to students not eligible for free or reduced price meals. This price increase does not reflect the solvency of our School Food and Nutrition Program, nor its expenditures. However, in order to meet regulations, the Iowa Department of Education has stated the price increase is mandatory to be compliant with the federal regulations and must be effective immediately. The meal prices are listed below, showing changes of a $.10 increase in the Elementary Lunch Meal, a $.05 increase in the Middle School Lunch Meal and no change in the High School Lunch Meal. Adult meals and breakfast meals will have no change at this time.
Elementary Lunch Meal $2.55
Middle School Lunch Meal $2.60
High School Lunch Meal $2.65
