  • Ensuring Website Accessibility

    General Statement

In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as well as with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Clear Creek Amana Community School District (CCACSD) has made, and continues to make, efforts to ensure content on all of its websites is accessible to everyone – including individuals with disabilities and users of assistive technology.

    Standards

CCACSD uses the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level AA, with the exception of video content which follows WCAG 2.0 level A, as the minimum technical standards to develop and maintain its websites. CCACSD exceeds these guidelines in many instances.

    Disclaimers

CCACSD is aware that some PDF documents on its websites do not currently meet accessibility requirements. CCACSD is working to update those documents to comply with modern accessibility standards. If you have trouble accessing any of these documents, please let CCACSD’s Communications Department know and it will provide the requested information in an alternate format.

CCACSD websites integrate with platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter in an effort to use modern communication methods and to encourage digital citizenship among its users. These services are provided by their respective companies and CCACSD is not responsible for their adherence to accessibility standards.

CCACSD websites also integrate with Google Translate in an effort to improve access for people who come from non-English-speaking backgrounds. Google Translate is a service provided by Google, Inc. and CCACSD is not responsible for its content or its adherence to accessibility standards.
