Can I select which elementary school I want my child to go to?
Your address will determine what elementary school your child attends. Elementary Boundary Map. Typically, students will attend the preschool site where they will attend kindergarten.
Will my preschooler ride the bus with older students?
The district anticipates running preschool-only routes in the eastern side of the district. It may be necessary for Amana and perhaps some Clear Creek Elementary preschool students to ride a regular route.
When will I find out about bus transportation?
Bus routes will be determined and shared in late summer, prior to the start of the school year. If you have any changes to bussing needs, please contact CCA's transportation department.
Can my child get bus transportation to my babysitter and/or relative?
- Bus stops will include neighborhood, home, and DHS licensed daycare providers within our district per State transportation guidelines.
- Neighborhood stops will be designated by student enrollment and needs.
- Family members are welcome to be present at designated stops to transport preschoolers to needed daycare.
Will the schools have any wrap-around care options?
Champions partners with CCA to provide before and after school care along with wrap around care. Please see more information regarding Champions and their services they can provide.
Will there be any costs associated with preschool?
No, not for students who qualify by age, there will be no costs incurred to the family (students who turn 4 on, or before September 15th).
Are meals provided?
Breakfast and lunch are not built into the designated preschool hours.
Can I drop my child off early or pick my child up late?
Given restrictions in staffing and class times, students will need to be dropped off and picked up within 10 minutes of the start/end of class.
Can I send my 5-year-old to preschool?
Students who are eligible for kindergarten but who wish to enroll into preschool, please contact your building principal for prior approval and fee information.
I live out of district, can I still enroll?
Families outside of the CCA district can register for the preschool program as space allows. Out of district families enrolled in preschool will still need to follow all open enrollment policies outlined by the School Board for grades K-12. Only Amana Elementary is currently accepting students for K-5 elementary open enrollment.
