• Greetings from the office of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District Superintendent! For those of you who are new to the district, welcome! For those of you who’ve been a part of our district for a longer period of time you already know, we are a dynamic district experiencing significant growth and delivering quality education to all students.

This year we expect to welcome approximately 200 new students and their families. We are proud of the fact that many of our families choose our district because they have confidence their children will receive an outstanding educational experience from the time they start school until they proudly walk across the stage at graduation. We anticipate welcoming around 2,650 students to our buildings August 23. In addition, we are adding nearly 30 new staff members across the district.

This year is especially exciting as we are in the middle of several important projects. Our fifth elementary school is under construction and scheduled to open in August 2019. The building will serve fourth and fifth graders who currently attend Tiffin and North Bend Elementary Schools, as well as Preschool students.

In September 2017, voters overwhelmingly approved a $36 million bond referendum to build a new elementary, expand parking at the middle school and high school, replace the gymnasium at Clear Creek Elementary, and renovate the entryways at North Bend and Amana Elementary Schools. The ‘yes’ vote was over 70%! The elementary school construction is under way and will allow the building to open in August 2019. The parking expansion dirt work has been completed and will be paved in the summer of 2019. The new gym and renovations at Clear Creek elementary will be taking place during the 19-20 school year. Renovations at Amana Elementary and North Bend Elementary will take place during the summer of 2019. The last part of the bond will add the final addition to CCA High School.

In the midst of all the planning, we are intentional to ‘keep the main thing the main thing’ which is providing an outstanding educational experience for every student.

We look forward to maintaining and strengthening the partnership we enjoy with our families and community in the upcoming months. Your support of the staff and the district are a major part of what makes our district a destination in the Corridor area and for the state of Iowa.
