Preschool for 2020-2021 School Year
Clear Creek Amana Community School District preschools will offer AM and PM preschool for the 2020-2021 school year at Amana, Clear Creek, Tiffin, and North Bend elementary sites. Both AM and PM classes will be in three hours sessions, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. THERE WILL BE NO PRESCHOOL SERVICES ON WEDNESDAYS. Students who qualify by age (4 years old on or before September 15th) will be eligible for FREE preschool, through Iowa's Voluntary Preschool Grant. There are no requirements for residency or income. Families wishing to enroll a child who would otherwise be eligible for kindergarten will be asked to contact building principals directly.
Clear Creek Amana schools will partner with both Little Clippers and Sprout Kids Academy in Tiffin, to provide offsite preschool. Please contact Little Clippers or Sprout directly for any additional information. Curriculum guidelines and assessment procedures will be the same for both AM and for PM classes at school-based and partner based centers.
Bussing: Students WILL be given the opportunity to be bussed to and from designated neighborhood stops, individual residences and to the best of our ability, to daycares which reside in our district. CCA schools are not permitted per State requirements to bus outside of our boundaries. Bus stops and designations will be determined in the summer of 2020.
School day/onsite daycare: There is no wrap-around care offered at this time.
Out of district families: In-district families will have priority for enrollment. Out of district families enrolled in preschool will still need to follow all open enrollment policies outlined by the School Board for school-aged years (Kindergarten through 12th grade). Follow the instructions with this School Finder tool and it will tell you if you're in the CCA school district and what attendance center your child will attend for Kindergarten.
Registration completion: Once you have filled out the form, the district will review all applications and you will be contacted directly in the spring regarding the official registration process, classroom times and placement along with official AM or PM placement.
