The Clear Creek Amana FFA Chapter traveled to North Mahaska on February 13th, 2025. Clear Creek Amana brought members competing in various events such as Parliamentary Procedure, Chapter Program of Activities, and Job interview. All events earned a Gold!

The Parliamentary Procedure team consisted of Scarlet Brecht, Emma Karsten, Adalyn Meyer, Tate Riggan, and Taylor Vittetoe. They put in a lot of work day after day! With all of their hard work, all events earned a gold and are advancing to Districts! Parliamentary procedure is a set of rules that helps members run a meeting in an organized fashion. In the contest, members run a mock meeting. They are given five abilities to perform and five different items of business to discuss. Every member serves as a chairman of the “meeting,” completing the item of business by making a motion, debating, and voting on the motion.

The Chapter Program of Activities (POA) team consisted of Olivia Webb, Courtney Williams, and Della Roelther. These members worked hard to create a slideshow presentation showcasing all of the amazing chapter bonding activities, community service projects, and more! The slideshow is created following each category: building community, strengthening agriculture, and growing leaders. The team presented a ten-minute presentation to a panel of judges and then were asked various questions about the chapter. Chapter POA is a great opportunity for members to grow in public speaking and exhibit chapter activities.

Sara Kinzenbaw competed in Job Interview. She earned a gold! Unfortunately, the competition was high, and she was not able to move on to Districts. A job interview is a mock interview one-on-one with a judge. Sara entered the competition like it was a real job interview. She prepared a resume, job description and cover letter. In the interview showcasing her communication skills and strengths and weaknesses. The goal of the competition is for the FFA member to get a better understanding of a real-world job interview and to build confidence when speaking about themselves.

Overall the Clear Creek Amana FFA Chapter was very successful! With Districts coming up on March first in North Scott Iowa. They hope to carry this momentum on. We will be wishing luck to our Parliamentary Procedure, Chapter POA and our Treasurer and Secretaries books and Reporters Scrapbook!
