On Saturday, March 1st, 2025, the Clear Creek Amana FFA chapter took 10 members to North Scott High School to compete in their desired activities, including Chapter Website, Parliamentary Procedure, Chapter Program of Activities, and Reporters Scrapbook, Treasures and Secretaries books.
Hannah Gross competed in the Chapter Website. Hannah created an amazing website for the Clear Creek Amana Chapter. She showcased all of the activities that CCA organizes and is a part of. Her presentation was 8 minutes long. She prepared a speech going along with the website that she presented to a panel of judges. The judges judge the website on a rubric based on if the content is up to date, organization/navigation, and design/aesthetics. Hannah and her website earned gold! Hannah Gross did a great job creating a website to compete and now The Clear Creek Amana FFA chapter has a website for community members to look at for years to come! The website can be found at https://ccaffa.weebly.com/ or from the high school website under Activities > Clubs & Organizations scroll to FFA.
The Chapter Program of Activities (POA) team consisted of Olivia Webb, Courtney Williams, and Della Roehler. These members worked hard to create a slideshow presentation showcasing all of the amazing chapter activities, community service projects, and more! The slideshow is created following each category: building community, strengthening agriculture, and growing leaders. The team presented a ten-minute presentation to a panel of judges and then were asked various questions about the chapter. Chapter POA is a great opportunity for members to grow in public speaking and exhibit chapter activities. The team earned a gold, placed first and will be advancing to state!
The Parliamentary Procedure team consisted of Scarlet Brecht, Emma Karsten, Adalyn Meyer, Tate Riggan, and Taylor Vittetoe. With all of their hard work, all events earned a silver! Parliamentary procedure is a set of rules that helps members run a meeting in an organized fashion. In the contest, members run a mock meeting. They are given five abilities to perform and five different items of business to discuss. Every member serves as a chairman of the “meeting,” completing the item of business by making a motion, debating, and voting on the motion.
The Clear Creek Amana FFA officers created books showing all of the great things our chapter has accomplished. Our Reporter Sydney Pfeiffer created a scrapbook showing all of the activities and competitions our chapter has been involved in this past year. Sydney and her book earned a gold and is advancing to state!
Our Secretary Kelsey Leathers submitted her secretary's book, which includes minutes from all of our chapter meetings, thank you cards written to local businesses, and member information. Kelsey and her book earned a gold!
Our Treasure Jackson Arndt created a report of all of the receipts and disbursements from our chapter this past school year. Jackson and his book earned gold! The Clear Creek Amana chapter is proud of their accomplishments and is looking forward to competing at state!
Respectfully submitted by FFA reporter
