Facility Master Plan

Planning for the Future of CCA Schools

Clear Creek Amana Community School District is committed to thoughtful, long-term planning for the facilities that support our students, staff and growing communities.

During the 2025–26 school year, CCA convened a Master Facility Planning Committee to examine the district's current facilities, consider future growth and building use, and identify long-term facility needs and opportunities.

The committee brought together parents and guardians and staff members from across the district to provide a variety of perspectives as the district looked ahead.

About the Committee

The committee was formed with parent and staff representation from each CCA school.  Committee members were asked to share perspectives from their school communities, provide feedback and ideas, and help evaluate facility needs as part of the district's long-term planning process.

The Committee's Work

From September 2025 through May 2026, the 25 member committee met seven times to learn about the district, examine current facilities and consider the factors that will shape CCA's facility needs in the future.

During the process, committee members:

  • Toured CCA facilities to gain a firsthand understanding of the district's buildings, spaces and current facility needs.
  • Learned about school finances and the financial considerations associated with maintaining, renovating and adding facilities.
  • Reviewed future enrollment projections and considered how continued growth may affect space and facility needs.
  • Met with city leaders to learn about future development, infrastructure and community projects that could impact the district.
  • Discussed facility needs and opportunities across the district.
  • Identified and prioritized potential projects for consideration as the district plans for the future.

This process provided committee members with a broader understanding of the district's facilities and the many factors that must be considered when making long-term facility decisions.

Master Facility Project Recommendations

Following the committee's work, a summary of the Master Facility Project Recommendations was presented to the Clear Creek Amana Community School District Board of Education in June 2026.

The presentation outlines the information considered during the planning process and the facility projects identified for future consideration.

Continuing to Plan for the Future

The completion of the Master Facility Planning Committee's work is an important step in CCA's ongoing effort to responsibly plan for future growth and facility needs.

The identified projects provide a framework for continued discussion and future planning as the district evaluates priorities, enrollment, community development, financial capacity and the needs of students and staff.

Facility planning is an ongoing process. As the district continues to grow, CCA will use the information gathered through this process to help guide future decisions about the use, improvement and potential expansion of its facilities.
