Activating your account allows you to customize your notification preferences, communicate with staff and access additional features, all in one place.

How to activate your account:

• Open the invitation email or text. Click Activate your account or tap the link to activate your account.
• Create a password for your ParentSquare account and click Register.
• Click Confirm for your phone number and/or email. A verification code will be sent to the email or phone number.
• Enter the verification code to confirm.
• Confirm your child(ren) by clicking Confirm. Use Not My Child if a child listed is not associated with your account.
• Name misspelled? Wrong email or phone number? Missing a child on your account? Request changes to be made.
• Once you are logged in to ParentSquare, you will be able to access self-paced training modules, video resources and help articles to assist you with using ParentSquare.
• Click ? (Help) for help or your school contact information.
• Select Help Articles to learn how to use ParentSquare.

Notification preferences in ParentSquare are not all-or-nothing for your entire account. You can customize your notification settings for each school or district you are associated with. This means you can choose different notification methods and frequencies (such as Instant, Digest, or Off) for each school or district individually. On the mobile app, you can also toggle custom settings on or off to apply the same or different preferences for each school. Currently, notification customization is available at the school or district level, not for specific groups. Learn more.

ParentSquare can deliver messages through email, text messages, phone calls and app notifications. Families can customize notification preferences after activating their account. 

In a web browser:

• Click your name in the top-right corner and select Manage Account.
• Click Security on the left and then Reset Password.

On the app:

• Tap Account from the menu and select Change Password.

In a web browser:

• Click your name in the top-right of the screen and then select Manage Account.
• Click Language and use the drop-down menu to select your language.

On the app:

• Tap the three-lined menu, select Account.
• Tap Preferences, then Language.
• Choose your language setting from the list.

You can send a message to your child's teacher from Messages by clicking New Message. You can reply to a message from your principal, however, you cannot initiate a message to the principal. To learn more, see View, Send or Reply to a Direct Message.

From the sign in page:

• The next time you sign out and then sign in again, you will be asked to verify your contact information.

From My Account:

• Click on your name in the upper right and select Manage Account.
• Go to the yellow box, Missing kids, schools or contact info? and select Confirm Contact Info.

For security purposes, email and text verification codes are only valid for 10 minutes after they are requested. If you need another code, click Resend Code. If you request a new code, the previous code(s) will still be valid for those 10 minutes.

To search for previous posts and avoid scrolling, you can navigate to the "Advanced Search" (search bar in the top black bar), and filter posts by district or school.
