Snacks for Farmers During Harvest

The Clear Creek Amana FFA made and distributed over 30 snacks bags for farmers in the area. Bryce Mougin FFA Chapter Secretary came up with the idea and encouraged his fellow members to participate in this community service activity. The FFA Chapter went to their local grocery store and spent $50.00 on snack food and drinks to put in the bags for area farmers. On Friday afternoon the students met in the Ag room to assemble the bags. In each bag the farmer received a drink, a bag of chips and other various snacks. FFA
Chapter members each took bags to distribute that weekend. Mrs. Amelon Chapter Advisor took several bags to the area CO-OP’s for farmers to pick up after unloading their grain at the elevator. Next year Clear Creek Amana FFA hopes to grow this project and provide more to area farmers during the harvest season.
