The Clear Creek Amana FFA Chapter participated in the annual Iowa FFA Veterinary Science Career Development Event held virtually this year on June 10, 2021. Members of the Clear Creek Amana FFA Chapter were Hannah Grabin, Sophia Root, Dakota Lacina and Kathe Nelson. The agriculture education instructor and FFA advisor is Mrs. Alyssa Amelon. There were 24 chapters that participated in this year’s Career Development Event designed to provide the students an opportunity to display their knowledge and skills in the area of Veterinary science. The 95 individuals completed a general knowledge examination focusing on proper veterinary clinical practices and a written paper about animal rights and animal welfare. The Clear Creek Amana Veterinary Science team earned a silver rating.
