Teacher who inspired me:
Nancy Trow, my 8th grade Algebra I teacher. She encouraged me to never give up and she made math fun. I am a math teacher because of her.

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
An iPod Classic 7th Generation 256gb for something like, $268. I saved up all of my money from babysitting back in the early 2000s. I was paid only $5 an hour, so you can calculate how many hours it took for me to pay for that iPod! I still have it today and it works perfectly.

What hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
Fishing, cycling, hiking, running, traveling, volunteering, water skiing, snow skiing, canoeing, camping, kayaking, surfing, scuba diving, dinking with my plants, and reading psychological thrillers. Believe it or not, I'm not into watching television shows or movies.

What is a skill you would love to learn?
There are lots...beekeeping, play the ukulele, fly a plane, drive a motorcycle, speak more languages, sea navigation, coding, programming, and how to whistle extremely loud.

Words of wisdom to live by?
It will always work out in the end.
Everything happens for a reason.
Dream big.
Ask for help.
You cannot do it all.
