CCA FAMILIES TO BENEFIT FROM SOUTH SLOPE COOPERATIVE GRANT

With members from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), South Slope Cooperative, and state and local officials, the USDA announced the $5.4 million investment in high-speed broadband for the Oxford area and serving CCA families.
 
This investment is part of the $550 million the Trump administration allocated to the second round of the ReConnect Program. South Slope Cooperative was successful in applying for the funds and will use the $5.4 million to deploy a fiber-to-the-premises network to connect 1,984 people, 147 farms, 763 rural households and 26 businesses to high-speed broadband internet in and around Oxford.
