Mr. Kuehl Leaving CCA

Clear Creek Amana CSD Superintendent leaving district for East Union and Murray School Districts

OXFORD, Iowa — Clear Creek Amana Schools Superintendent Tim Kuehl is leaving the district to head East Union and Murray School Districts as a joint superintendent starting July 1. East Union is located in Afton and Murray is located in Murray, Iowa. Kuehl was one of three finalists to replace East Union and Murray Joint Superintendent Ken Casper, who will leave June 30 to become superintendent of the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura school District in Garner, Iowa.

Kuehl has served as the superintendent of Clear Creek Amana Schools since 2013. His prior experience includes serving as the superintendent at Gladbrook-Reinbeck for five years and as an elementary, middle and high school principal at other school districts. Kuehl stated, “My eight years as part of CCA have been a great experience. We have accomplished so many great things for our students. While I’m excited at the new opportunities before me, I will miss many of the great CCA staff, students, and community members that I’ve been fortunate to get to know and work with.”

“I would like to thank Tim for his leadership and service to the Clear Creek Amana Community School District for the last 8 years,” said Jen Mooney, CCA board president. “I wish him the best of luck on all his future endeavors.”
