Notice is given hereby that the Clear Creek Amana Community School District will receive sealed bids for construction of the above project until 2:00 P.M. on March 20, 2023. 

The Project will involve the following: installation of specific playground equipment and purchase and installation of playground surfacing at Tiffin Elementary school site. 

Bids security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany bid in accordance with the Information for Bidders. 

Bids will be received at: Clear Creek Amana Community School District, District Office, 1486 Highway 6 NW, Oxford, Iowa 52322. 

Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend. 

The following limitations shall apply to this Project: 

Approximate Start Date: June 12, 2023 

Final Completion Date: August 18, 2023 

Copies of the plans, specifications, proposed contract documents and form of proposal blanks may be secured at the Office of the Engineer, MMS Consultants, Inc., 1917 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, Iowa, by bona fide bidders. Plans and specifications will be available March 9th, 2023. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for March 15th at 1:00pm at the Tiffin Elementary, 104 North Park Road. Other tours of the sites may be arranged with the Engineer or Owner. 

Products and materials incorporated in the Work of this Project are exempt from Iowa sales tax and local option sales tax. 

Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment bond will be required in the full amount of the contract. 

Bidders shall list on the Form of Proposal the names of persons, firms, companies, or other parties with whom the bidder intends to subcon-tract. This list shall include the type of work and approximate subcontract amount(s). 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and also reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities.
