About the Clear Creek Elementary School Library

The mission of our CCA District Library Program is to foster inviting, inclusive, innovative, collaborative,
and culturally responsive learning environments which empower learners to explore, connect, evaluate, and create.

Clear Creek Elementary School is located in Oxford, Iowa, and currently serves PreK - 5 students from families residing in Oxford and part of Tiffin.  The library is staffed with one full-time, certified teacher librarian.  The library operates on a fixed schedule with classes visiting once per week for library instruction and checkout, and once per week for technology/STEM instruction.  The library program strives to work collaboratively with classroom teachers to correlate library and technology instruction with classroom learning.  The library has two Chromebooks dedicated to accessing the library’s online catalog and six iPads for library and technology instruction.  The Clear Creek Elementary Library also offers access to a separate lab with MacBook laptops and a variety of STEM materials.  The library organizes and encourages participation in various reading events and hosts two book fairs each school year to promote literacy and a love of reading.
