PSAT/NMSQT, ACCUPLASCER, CAREER READINESS CERT

  • PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT/NMSQT test will be given at CCAHS on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 in the High School . Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 that morning. Cost for this test is $16. A calculator, pencil(s) and pen(s) are necessary for the test. The PSAT/NMSQT allows students to take a standardized college entrance exam for a fee that is less than 1/2 of the SAT or ACT. It is a great way to see what an SAT/ACT test is like. This test is open to all 10th and 11th graders. If your child is a Junior, they can qualify for scholarship monies that can range up to full tuition. Many businesses support the PSAT/NMSQT with scholarships that become available if your student chooses to participate. I highly recommend that any Junior that typically tests well on Iowa Assessments, or wishes to find out what a college entrance exam is like, take advantage of this opportunity. Test prep materials are available at College Board website

    ACCUPLACER
Students planning on attending a community college in Iowa will need to take the Accuplacer if they don't take the ACT. The Accuplacer is free to take at Kirkwood Community College by setting up a meeting. Kirkwood Test Center.
