2024 PLAYGROUND SURFACING INSTALLATION PROJECT. CLEAR CREEK AMANA COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Notice is given hereby that the Clear Creek Amana Community School District will receive sealed bids for construction of the above project until 2:00 P.M. on May 9^th, 2024.

The Project will involve the following:  Installation of playground surfacing and concrete sidewalk at North Bend Elementary school site.

Bids security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany bid in accordance with the Information for Bidders.

Bids will be received at: Clear Creek Amana Community School District, District Office, 1486 Highway 6 NW, Oxford, Iowa 52322.

Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.  Bids received after that time will not be accepted.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

  The following limitations shall apply to this Project:

  Approximate Start Date: June 3, 2024

  Final Completion Date: August 9, 2024

Copies of the plans, specifications, proposed con­tract documents and form of proposal blanks may be secured at the Office of the Engineer, MMS Consultants, Inc., 1917 S. Gilbert Street, Iowa City, Iowa, by bona fide bidders. Plans and specifications will be available April 18th, 2024. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 1^st at 3:00pm at the North Bend Elementary, 2230 Saint Andrews Drive.  Other tours of the sites may be arranged with the Engineer or Owner. 

Products and materials incorporated in the Work of this Project are exempt from Iowa sales tax and local option sales tax.

Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment bond will be required in the full amount of the contract.

Bidders shall list on the Form of Proposal the names of persons, firms, companies, or other parties with whom the bidder intends to subcon­tract. This list shall include the type of work and approximate subcontract amount(s).

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and also reserves the right to waive techni­calities and irregu­larities.
